1st Choice History - 1st Choice Canada

Our 1st Choice Nutrition history

The 1st Choice Nutrition line of cat and dog food products was launched in 1990 by PLB International. Founded in 1969, this Quebec family-owned business was originally dedicated to the production of farm animal feeds. In 1982, it became the first company in Quebec to manufacture food for small pets. In order to develop the best possible food products, the firm solicited the input of animal nutrition experts. 1st Choice Nutrition quickly became the first premium cats and dogs food in North America to use fresh chicken in its recipes.
